... for the owner!?
This '87 ex Feuerwehr T3 WBX mooched around for a few days in the middle of nowhere
A breakdown was quite likely, as the crew carrier had clocked up 250,000 km when decommissioned in 2008! Far too much for an average Feuerwehr vehicle, obviously a converted civilian Caravelle CL.
Served at Feuerwehr Ruppertshütten, a small Bavarian village with 800 inhabitants east of Frankfurt a.M.
Replaced by a Peugeot Boxer, from water-boxer to Boxer ...
Nervous breakdown ...

Nice mirrors
Re: Nervous breakdown ...
Well spotted Roland, did you speak to the owner?
Re: Nervous breakdown ...
No, I didn't meet the owner. At first I expected him to do overnight parking and bird watching, as a pair of storks is in the fields nearby at the mo, a crowd puller. Hence there's a temporary speed limit set-up of 30 km/h and a mast with a nest has been erected in the meantime.

A lady wondered, that I only had eyes for the Bus and not the birds ...
The right mirror is a T3 WESTFALIA wide bed single cab one, the left not vertical one from a LT.
