Re: Signalkelle
Please excuse the poor quality of the photos, would you like a photo with measurements for reference?
Re: Signalkelle
Reset to zero!
@John: the bracket actually is sort of a straightened S but obviously different on T2s and T3s!
Will post a pic of a FüKW-TEL 80 one asap.
@Chris: your lollipop is the old Bundeswehr design. Apart from the disc colours the wooden handle is slightly thicker compared to a KatS one. This explains the more than usual tight fit.

Re: Signalkelle
Thanks Roland, time for some shopping on eBay. Searching for Signalkelle doesn't come up with any suitable items, is there any other terms I can search for?
Re: Signalkelle
Chris, other search terms are: Anhaltekelle - Winkerkelle - Feuerwehrkelle - Stopkelle - Anhaltestab
But in the meantime I'm not sure anymore, if you need a KatS lollipop at all!
Just visited my FüKW-TEL 81 in its shed (a bit tricky, the access is covered in deep snow). Firstly I can confirm, that you got the correct handle bracket. The lollipop itself is - I couldn't hardly believe it and remember - a Bundeswehr one! Judging from the signs of usage i.e. scratches on the disc caused by the bracket it seems that it has been original equipment. A further hint might be the fact, that your lollipop came with the Bus as well!?
As for the different FüKW-TEL 80 bracket I can provide a rather blurred pic:

Re: Signalkelle
Mines a FüKW-TEL 81 isn't it? Yup, snowed in here as well!
I wonder why the 81 and 80 brackets are slightly different, perhaps this is because the lollipops were different?? I think we need more old photos to prove this.
My lollipop was brand new from eBay a year or two ago, so I can't confirm whether this is the correct one but from what you have said its possible its the right one.
Aside from there being a Kats and Bundeswehr lollipop with the red and white the opposite way round on each, did the sign have any alternative meaning to those who saw it in use other than to identify who the operator of the lollipop was from?

Re: Signalkelle
Thanks for that Roland the TEL-80 info is perfect! They are in mild steel so i think a bit cut from my old 1303 beetle bonnet will work. I have some gloss beige that is a reasonable match and some matt clear lacquer !
