Pictures are a bit rubbish but will get some proper ones when it's finished.
As you can see it needs quite some adjustment to fit my Feuerwehr, shame to have to but it keeps it in use.

Sweet!! Thanks for the pics. Keep us posted as you do the mods. Did it come with mudguards? I'm not familiar with these trailers, how does the back open up?

Yes have the mudguards, but had to take the axel, wheels, and guards off to fit in a 3,5ton van - quite a tight fit.
Unfortunately measurements whernt all that accurate when buying!
The back opens up on hinges at the bottom, very nice mechanism actually to unlock.
I will load up some pics during the week as already started on it... Great adition and will be really useful when we go on longer trips, as can keep the van empty and shove it all in the trailer. Although if it was purely practical then perhaps I should have just got a 'normal' trailer instead of paying for this pice of art.... No think I made the good choice!!!

A good choice indeed, much better than a 'normal' trailer!
Is it poss. a METZ from the 40s?
Judging from the mandatory '25' (= km/h) sticker it has been towed by a civilian farm tractor, a basic but common practice at small rural fire stations in the old days
I'd remove or cover the sticker before travelling to Germany, your max. speed is 80 km/h ...
The back flap opens the described way and has rails and the black supporting yoke as the (heavy) Tragkraftspritze = portable pump was stored behind.
Some TSAs underwent strange variations: a tip for Pete how to combine a crewie with a TSA:

Cheers for the tip Roland - it would save having to make the adjustments!!!
Seriously though, that is top accessory to come across - good luck with the adjustments, keep us informed!!!

Re: TSA Tragkraftspritzenanhänger Feuerwehr Anhänger
Great pictures Roland.
It has been used with a tractor has the ring and pin rather than a ball.
Well did until I changed it....
here is how the back opens
And the front opening
Would be interesting to date it as its made beautifully, all bowed wood and then sheet metal wrapped
All done
Another thing I don't understand is that the trailer arms go the wrong way, I always thought a trailer was a trailer because the arms trailed?! Is that not right? Or is there a reason this was done on these TSAs
