Hi Guys

For the actual show report. Yeah it was awesome. Many, many far out vehicles. Bus, beetles, Dune/Baja Bugs, Trekker/Things, the odd Porsche. Some one offs, Type 3s.

Looked around the show for about 5-6hrs which covered it nicely, as Roland said, it could be done in a day.

Very few T3/T25s which was a bit of a shame for me (lots more were at Dubfreeze last month).

The people were friendly. Everyone stopped if you wanted to take a picture. I cant remember the last time I saw that. I would really recommend it. Arriving earlyish on the Saturday (about 10am) there was no traffic, dont know how many had came the night before and camped?

I took a zillion pics. Most are on my Facebook account - PM me for my account name, if you want to take a look.

It was good to look at the commercial stands and see what people are selling, VW Heritage, Just Kampers, Newton Commercial, CSP, Ultimate Engineering, and lots more. But the show prices were not 'special' I bought one sticker for a pound, and a couple of gaskets! The prices were no better than online prices. So its a show to look, not buy (well this year).

Crazy Porsche engined Buses and Beetles, it was all there, loads of turbo-d vehicles. Have restarted my Ebay hunt for some alloys. Probably Merc rather than Porsche I think. 16" or 17". The Porsche->VW adaptors are almost as expensive as the alloys themselves.

Cheers

Mike

I might have to try and go next year, it looks to be a good show every year! Thanks for the report and photos Mike have you ever considered journalism? On the photography note, you do often find at shows that people are generally pretty good when taking pics...though dub Freeze show and shine seems to be the exception I guess due to the lack of space.

I like the split Kemperink...the name makes me think of skating rinks...but i do rather like the look of that Austrian Measurement/Standards bus....it looks like a KatS ambulance.
