Emergency VWs

This legendary Beetle show has been on my wish list for ages. Last Sunday during our 3rd heatwave (look at the grass, open fires were prohibited on site) I could manage it.

As I came in my winter car I had to use the visitor's car park (Opels etc. )




I'm not in Beetles but this knitted one attracted me




Even an EVW in the background




Quite a few Transporters on site, lots of them ex EVWs. Let's start with this THW T3




Followed by the Feuerwehrs




Fat performance in the deckchair?




Note the illuminated lollipop and the Saturday night remains




Rare ARCOMOBIL/GRAWOMOBIL roof and roof rack. Quiz question: who knows the VW roundel substitute?




This FuKW 78 looks familiar, obviously can't get rid of it!

Great selection of pics Roland. I showed William the knitted beetle jumper and he said i should make one! I need to paint it first i think. I recognise that badge, Magirus but upside-down! But what's going on with the double front bumper though?

Maybe the Magirus fan is current /ex Feuerwehr too? Borrowed it from one of these beautiful aircooled beasties?

I wonder, what the owner means with the Magirus badge upside-down? I know him from the VolksWorld festival and Van-/Busfest, but didn't see him at Lenglingen, maybe he was walking the dog in the woods all day long. Don't think he's a fire fighter tho'.

I guess the upside down Magirus looks like WV rather than VW...Wagenvolks? I went to an Emergency 999 event on Sunday, will put some pics up when i have sorted them.
