A new lucky EVW member
Hello everybody,
since I found this board, i´ve learned a lot about the FüKW. Very useful.
Now, with the best preparaition, I will pick up my Brunn Tel80 on monday in the lower saxonie area.
The fire brigade promised, to leave the complete stuff inside the car. I hope so .
My first T2 experience starts with a bus in 1981 during my first job.
A few years later some kilometers with an old T2a at the german army.
I´m looking forward to an exciting orange future.
excuse my english,...the years go bye.

Re: A new lucky EVW member
Hi Pete,
thank you.
Of course I would like to introduce my new Tel80 with a few nice pics when I´m back.
Didn´t see any photos of the car myself. But it was a very trustful description. So I´ve done a blind bid. Surprise ,surprise.
till soon
Juergen

Hi Jürgen,
welcome to the forum!
Hopefully your TEL 80 comes as complete as promised.
Make sure to take some photos in front of the fire station. We are eagerly looking forward to these and other pics!
Early experiences shape your life. Drove my first T2s whilst working for a local wholesale bakery in 1980. It needed a certain time though till I bought my first one in 1988, a Westfalia Helsinki; it began so innocent ...

Re: A new lucky EVW member
Jürgen, your TEL 80 really seems to be in good nick!
Thanks for sharing these (and more) pics!
I also like the 'prototype' you spotted on the Autobahn. Well done!
A lookalike contest thread would be nice, so keep your eyes open.
How about this?

Re: A new lucky EVW member
Welcome Schmiddy! An excellent bus you have there, looking forward to seeing some more pics of the accessories...pull out tray etc!
It's good to have another TEL80 in the group, especially one with lots of original kit on it...and an additional drinks holder!
What fire station is this from? /EDIT/Sorry i just noticed ....it says on the fire station pic!
I like the pic with big Merc protecting too.

Re: A new lucky EVW member
Hi John,
I´ve made some inside pics a few days ago before cleaning.
Some parts are still missing but I´m working on it.
Next week we try to conect the TELEFUNKEN FuG7b and clear the "cable salad"

Re: A new lucky EVW member
Excellent, looks nice and original.
Let us know the results of your FuG7b tests. Did both of them get left in it? they cut the ends off the co ax antenna cables by the radios but i can make jumpers to reattach. I just put a dummy load on whilst testing mine. (not sure what band it is on!).
Do you have the cover plate for the box under the table?
Oh and if you find a spare generator or cable drums on your travels...please do give me a shout! I am missing mine along with mast and crook antenna.
John
